  1. Virtual libraries will become a norm sooner rather than later - are we as librarians prepared for this? Are we equipped with the necessary skills to face this head on - or will some of us keep our heads buried in the sand? Being on this course is certainly a step in the right direction - we are exposed to many new terms and activities that we've only heard about. We're on course!!!

  2. O yes now you are talking about something I think I know about. I had to do my research essay on virtual reference services and it was quite exciting. Had the whole wrong idea when I started and then suddenly it jumped out at me. I think I am ready for it! But I have no idea how we as librarians will be able to attend to the public as well as the virtual public. I think we will manage with moans and groans and talk of 'we will never cope', but I think we will be able to manage.
